WHO WE ARE…
Before describing who we are, let’s explain who and what we are not.
WE ARE NOT:
A church of walls, we are not a 501C, tax exempt nor not-for-profit organization.
WE ARE:
A people who have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior and welcome The Holy Spirit in every area of our life.
A people who want to follow Jesus as the early disciples did and we want to make disciples as Jesus commanded us to do.
A people who want to reach the lost, the backslider and the un-churched in our sphere of influence with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We also want to make fellowship available to those who are saved but not presently associated with a local body of believers.
ABOUT THE PASTOR/FOUNDERS:
Jim was born and raised a Catholic in the city of Chicago, Illinois. However, after experiencing a divorce in 1970, he realized something was not right in his life and his life style of drinking and partying was not what God wanted or intended for him. He knew that this style of life was what caused his marriage to fail. He wanted to change but did not know how. Because of two faithful disciples of Christ, Jim began to understand what a relationship with God really was and all that God had for him. So, in 1971, at his bedside, by himself, he asked Jesus to come into his life and be his Lord and Savior. Jim has been serving the Lord ever since. On April 20, 1974, Jim married Lorraine and this year will celebrate their 37th wedding anniversary.
Lorraine has walked with the Lord for 50 years. She is currently involved with the nursing home ministry. Lorraine and Jim have partnered in nursing home ministries, and leadership roles in small home groups and date night groups for married couples.
Jim has served in various capacities at different churches in Fort Wayne. From street witnessing, bus ministry, and financial board member to Associate Pastor of Discipleship, Jim has watched as the Holy Spirit has changed people’s lives and his own life for the honor and glory of God. Jim was ordained under the Morris Cerullo World Evangelism Ministry in 2004. Jim is now 65 years old and retired from the business community. He has owned and operated two successful businesses in Fort Wayne, Indiana from 1974 to 2010, which were a tax practice and financial planning firm. Jim and Lorraine founded The Interim Ministry not only to be of service to the Lord, helping anyone who wants to have a relationship with God, through His Son Jesus, by the power of The Holy Spirit but also to bring over 40 years of consulting experience to help anyone who is in that INTERIM period of their life and needs sound, spiritual advice.
